Yoga & Meditation Teaching

My biggest strength as a project manager lies in my emotional intelligence - my ability to communicate and ideate clearly, building constructive relationships and consensus, staying calm in a crisis.

I have cultivated my personal wellness practices over the past two decades, starting with a consistent hatha and ashtanga yoga practice from the age of sixteen. The sweetness of savasana led me to explore meditation more deeply, finding much resonance in the Thai Forest Tradition of Theravadan Buddhism as taught by Ajahn Chah, though I happily and humbly respect and learn from what is instructive from any tradition.

I have been fortunate enough to teach yoga and manage the kitchen (supervising volunteers cooking for up to 120 people) on many silent meditation retreats at Amaravati Buddhist Monastery in the British countryside, the first of these not long after completing my yoga teacher training back in 2015.

As well as retreats, I have taught yoga and meditation classes, courses and workshops for individuals and organisations in settings including:

  • Polyvagal Balancing, private practice, Sayulita, Mexico, 2026

  • School of Love, 2-hour workshop, Rambazamba Festival, Berlin, Germany, 2024

  • Polyvagal Yoga: weekly class @ Selina Hotel, Sayulita, Mexico, 2022/3

  • Holistic Massage, private practice, London, 2021/2

  • Ashtanga Primary Series: weekly class @ Yoga Arch, London, UK, 2017/8

  • Yoga Nidra: weekly class @ Guy’s & St Thomas’s Hospital, London, UK, 2016/7

  • Corporate wellbeing: weekly yoga classes @ The Financial Times and Marie Curie, London, UK, 2015-17

  • Yoga for Stress Reduction: Launched and led a programme of 12-week courses subsidised for staff @ London Borough of Hackney, UK, 2015/6

My formal qualifications in the wellness space include:

  • Monitor de Pilates Terapéutico y Máquinas (Therapeutic & Reformer Pilates Instructor), Instituto Internacional de Ciencias Deportivas, España, 2026/7

  • Psychedelic Harm Reduction & Care, Zendo Project, California, US, 2024

  • Spectral Breathwork Teacher Training, Berlin, Germany, 2023

  • Deep Tissue Massage Course, London School of Massage, UK, 2020

  • Level 3 Diploma in Therapeutic Massage, ITEC, London, UK, 2020

  • RYT200 Registered Yoga Teacher, Yoga Alliance, Goa, India, 2015

This builds on my earlier foundation as a mental health social worker in the UK public health system, when I supported young adults experiencing a first psychotic episode. Training within an early intervention service operated jointly by the National Health Service and local government and based in one of London’s largest hospitals, I was privileged to benefit from cutting-edge courses placing clients at the centre of service, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Psychosis, West London Mental Health Trust, 2012

  • Motivational Interviewing, NHS, 2012

  • Safeguarding Adults Levels 1 & 2, NHS, 2011

I am dedicated to continuous learning in all spheres of my life, be it geeking out on new project management methodologies or software, or exploring different healing and embodiment modalities. Some of the most beneficial practices I’ve worked with over the years include Aerial Yoga, Family Constellation Therapy, Intensive Short Term Psychodynamic Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Nonviolent Communication, Reformer Pilates, Rolfing, and Somatic Experiencing. I have sat with a range of plant medicines and entheogens including 5-MeO-DMT, psilocybin, ayahuasca, peyote and kambo and participate in an ongoing integration circle. My next goals are to train as a death doula and ceremony facilitator.
